This year marked an exciting chapter for On The Sand Vacations as we proudly welcomed 18 stunning new vacation rentals into our portfolio. With these additions, we now manage an impressive total of 104 properties. This milestone reflects not just our growth, but our continued commitment to providing exceptional vacation experiences for our guests. Sixteen of these new properties joined our collection in the sought-after North Coast Village complex. From charming harbor-side cottages to spacious beachfront retreats, these units offer something for everyone looking to enjoy Oceanside’s coastal beauty.
We’re thrilled to announce that 2024 also saw us expand into two new premier complexes, offering long-term stay options perfect for guests traveling for work or seeking extended coastal escapes:
San Miguel III: A gorgeous west-facing 2-bedroom, 2-bath cottage in the San Miguel III complex, located right on The Strand. This property offers a tranquil escape just steps from the sand.
The SALT: A modern addition in the vibrant downtown Oceanside area. This property combines luxury and convenience, ideal for guests who love exploring the city and coastline.
These expansions allow us to serve a broader range of guest needs while maintaining our high standards for comfort and style.
This year, we were honored to host 2,893 reservations, welcoming guests from all over the world to experience the beauty and charm of Oceanside. From family reunions to romantic escapes, each booking brought its own unique story, and we are grateful to be a part of these special moments
This year, 39% of our guests were familiar faces, returning to us for yet another memorable stay. It’s always a pleasure to welcome back those who feel at home in our rentals, and their loyalty speaks volumes about the exceptional experiences we strive to deliver. At the same time, we were thrilled to introduce 61% of our guests to On The Sand Vacations for the first time, and we look forward to seeing them again in the years to come.
When it comes to booking their stays, our guests demonstrated a clear preference for direct and reliable options. An impressive 73% chose to book directly through our website, reaffirming the trust and ease that come with booking straight from the source. Airbnb accounted for 14% of our reservations, while VRBO brought in 11%, showcasing the importance of these platforms in connecting us with new travelers. The remaining 2% came from other OTAs, reflecting our ongoing efforts to diversify and expand our reach. This distribution highlights the growing connection we have with our community and the convenience we strive to offer through multiple channels.
This year, we proudly partnered with two new Online Travel Agencies (OTAs): Marriott Homes and Villas and VacationFinder.com. Marriott Homes and Villas stands out as a premier platform, connecting us with a sophisticated audience that values quality, consistency, and the trust associated with the Marriott brand. This partnership has opened the door to a global network of travelers, including those loyal to Marriott’s esteemed loyalty program.
VacationFinder.com, a growing and innovative platform, has also allowed us to reach a broader audience of adventure-seekers and budget-conscious travelers. These partnerships represent our ongoing commitment to providing seamless booking options and expanding the visibility of our exceptional properties.
This year, we embraced several creative campaigns and collaborations to connect with our guests and celebrate the spirit of travel. Here are just a few of our favorites:
National Plan for Vacation Day: In partnership with Visit Oceanside, we created the ultimate Oceanside vacation giveaway, inspiring guests to plan ahead and dream big for their next coastal escape.
Mother’s Day Giveaway: We invited participants to nominate a deserving mom and share why she should win a beach vacation. The heartfelt entries reminded us of the power of family and relaxation.
Circuit Advertising: We launched an eco-friendly advertising campaign with Circuit, featuring shuttle wraps, digital ads, and in-vehicle brochures, putting On The Sand Vacations front and center in our local community.
Ironman Racecation Giveaway: Partnering with Ironman, we offered a special "racecation" giveaway, combining the thrill of competition with the relaxation of a beachside retreat.
These campaigns allowed us to engage with our community in meaningful ways and showcase the unique experiences we offer to guests.
This year, we celebrated milestones and said heartfelt goodbyes to valued team members. Our reservation team manager retired after 10 incredible years of dedicated service. Their leadership and care have been instrumental in shaping the exceptional guest experiences we strive for every day. We wish them all the best in this exciting new chapter.
We also bid farewell to two other long-standing team members who were with us for seven years. Their contributions and commitment helped define what makes On The Sand Vacations special, and while their relocation marks the end of an era, we are grateful for the years we shared.
As we look to the future, we are excited to continue growing and enhancing the experiences we offer. In 2025, we’re planning to expand our rental offerings with carefully curated additions that align with the quality and charm our guests have come to expect.
