D29 - Neptune's Wink

This condo has a everything including being right on the beach, hearing waves, and friendly ducks. My only comment is, there is not enough lighting in the living room. My sisters were clearly happy by the location and being so close to the beach.

Our family greatly enjoyed our stay in this condo and we will definitely be back. The location is great. The view from the patio is priceless. It is situated in an interesting, lively location with lots of places to explore and a variety of tasty food options that are mostly within walking distance. The morning and evening moments of private views of the beach and ocean (being basically on the beach) are just indescribable and unforgettable. The ocean breeze and sound are constant and refreshing at all hours of the day. The amenities at the "village" were pretty great too... we were truly never bored! For those of us not fortunate enough to *own* a beach-front home this is an amazing and memorable experience that we're going to want to repeat time and time again. Thank you!

Once again had the BEST stay here at North Coast Village for 10 nights in April. Feel as though it is our second home. We try to stay twice a as year ( pre Covid) we leave kicking and screaming every time. Was our first time staying in “Neptune’s Wink” it too did not disappoint. Beds were the most comfortable thus far. The views, sites and smells are ridiculous. Will be booking our next stay as soon as we can. The staff at “On The Sand” is great and always kind and accommodating. Thanks so much, Jayne Hicks

My mom and I stayed at this location for 19 days May of 2021. 50 something and an 80 something year olds. What a fabulous location to call home for that period of time. It had everything we could possibly need and provided the exact peaceful setting that we wanted and needed. The kitchen was very well stocked with whatever one might need which was great since we did all our meals in. Location to the beach and pool were awesome. We enjoyed using the patio quite a bit and found the outdoor furniture to be super comfy and quite an upgrade from what we saw around us. The beds were very soft, which took a little getting used to but everyone has their own taste when it comes to a mattress. "Underground" parking for the rental car was perfect and very close and convenient. We usually had an "outing" each day to visit other nearby cities or attractions and it seemed like many thing were close by. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and just might re-book it at another time!

 We stayed here for the week and had an incredible time! The condo was fully stocked with everything we needed. We didn’t have to pack sand toys for my little guy and there was even three boogie boards for my older kids. Literally everything we needed was at the condo! The quick access to the beach was so great and we were able to watch the kids from up on the wall. The condo was so nice clean and spacious! More than enough room for our family of 5 and we even had some visitors for the day. Beds were so comfy and nice. 11/10 will definitely visit again!

We have stayed at many ocean front cottage in North Coast Village. This unit by far had the best furniture lay out and location. We really enjoyed sitting in the nice patio furniture (not cheap plastic) and watching the sunset. Everything you could need was there, and the 2 parking spaces was a huge bonus.

 I can't even begin to describe how perfect our stay was here at Neptune's Wink! From the personalized treats left for us in celebration of our anniversary and son's birthday, to the careful attention to detail and cleanliness (especially during these times), we were taken away! The condo was sparkling with beautiful furnishings and the location was simply amazing. The corner lot also allowed for additional privacy as we watched the waves roll in and out directly in front of us! The kids loved the direct access to the beach and played in the sand and surf all day. There were also more than enough boogie boards and beach toys provided to occupy them the entire day. We love Oceanside because of its "family friendly" atmosphere--neighbors were very friendly and respectful. We loved it so much we decided to stay another night! We will really miss the beautiful views of the pier and harbor, watching the evening sunsets together, and falling asleep to the crashing waves. Can't wait to return one day!

The ocean is just steps away, resulting in constant gorgeous views (dolphins! sunsets!) and easy access for endless beach days. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and there were plenty of cozy blankets for all. We loved exploring the neighborhood, the beach, the pool and the harbor. Definitely a great place to stay and we highly recommend it!

We were very happy with the unit we rented. The beds were super comfortable. The manager brought new blankets in case we got cold because the nights did get cooler. We did not need them.

Everything about this experience was wonderful. This was our 1st Vacation Rental experience. Communication with staff before and during stay was responsive and helpful. The property itself was newly furnished and very well stocked for anything we needed. We would stay here again.

We booked this property for four days and we were delighted. It has everything you need, just bring your clothes and groceries and you are set!! We loved everything about it including the views the sounds of the ocean the grounds are beautiful, a great pool workout room, and bbq spot. We will be back next year!!

We loved this property! Beautiful view. Super clean. The owners provided everything we needed! There was never a moment where we said I wish they had this - it was all there! The view of the ocean from the unit is just spectacular. Having two parking spots was so helpful as well. The grounds are beautiful and well taken care of. Highly recommend this unit and property!

It was another wonderful week in this condo. We wait all year to enjoy our summer vacation and staying in this above standard place is just so lovely and special. When I had questions about the wifi and new fans, the response was immediate. The owners are prompt with replies and checking in to make sure we have everything we need. The condo had new outdoor furniture which made sitting out side cozy and more comfortable. The dishes, towels and TVs, to name a few, were all new and high quality. Looking forward to next year!!!

We have been staying at D29 for over 12 years and love returning every year. We travel to Southern California multiple times a year and have yet to find a beach rental that is comparable. We love the location because it's right on the sand and has a nice grassy area for kids to play and keep toddlers from going into the water. We can relax in the condo, or on the patio, and watch our kids surf , dig in the sand or play games on the grass. Some of the other beach rentals we have tried (in other complexes) do not offer covered parking, swimming pools, hot tubs or workout and game rooms. On a rainy day, or after sunset, there is still plenty to keep the kids occupied. This unit has been getting run down for the last few years, but it has been renovated, and it is now the best unit on the beach. Many NCV units have gas fireplaces that don't work and need to be lit by hand. This unit now has a gorgeous gas fireplace, with a remote control, right under the big tv in the family room. The kitchen is huge, and has tons of cabinets and countertops. D29 is right in the middle the complex so it's just steps to the pool, hot tub, bbq and laundry. We were thrilled to see the bathrooms updated, new mattresses and all new decor. The mattresses are really nice and much better than the typical "rental" mattresses. Even the kids beds are nice! The one thing the beach units are lacking is somewhere to lay in the sun. Most of the units have a table and 4 chairs, but this unit now has outdoor couches! We loved laying outside to read or just get some sunshine. If you have stayed in D29 before you will be thrilled with the updates! The furnishing are now equal with the location! As always, the rental agency was great to work with and always responds quickly to any question or request. We loved the snacks and beverages upon arrival as well. Thanks for a great vacation!

We were looking for a relaxed spot in North Coast Village and loved this unit. It was very comfortable and it was amazing to walk out on real grass and take in the view. The unit had everything we needed and took advantage of the great beach toys and enjoyed the clean and cozy decor. We notified the management team about one concern in the unit and they were on it in hours - just wonderful! We'll definitely stay here again in the future!

We have stayed in this complex many times. We love its proximity to the beach and how quiet and convenient it is. This was our first time in D29. The ocean view is amazing! The patio furniture was comfortable and functional. The interior was spacious, clean, and functional. All that being said, D29 needs updating. We loved the layout and the bedrooms were warm, cozy and comfortable. We were disappointed that the fire place was not functional...it was Christmas we would have loved a fire. We cannot stress enough how much we enjoyed the ocean view! The location is also ideal, convenient to beach, harbor, pier, parking and laundry. Big shout out to the "On the Sand" team. They reached out before our arrival to ask if we needed or wanted anything. The fresh flowers were a wonderful touch. Way to take customer service to the next level On the sand!

Rented this condo for my mother and her sisters in celebration of her 85th birthday and they all had the best time ever! This is one of the best units, at least in my opinion. The location was perfect and the view is spectacular!! The condo is awesome and also clean & comfortable. Management was great too. They responded quickly whenever we had a question or an issue. Wish we were still there, but I'd definitely stay here again!

My husband, I and our 2 adult sons loved the condo and location of the condo. It was the best one we have stayed in. It was clean, well stocked with useful kitchen appliances, beach equipment and baby stuff. Our daughter visited 2 days and was excited to see a pack n play there for her 18 month old. The week there was wonderful and restful. We plan on returning next summer. Thank you for allowing us to rent such a heavenly place.

It was an awesome place to stay right on the beach close to so many amenities. One of the best units (corner) ocean in front pool and hot tub right behind you parking very close. You can walk to the pier or the harbor. The security people that walk around are a hoot. Loved them. Being there with the fires so close we didn’t know what to expect. They were great with information. I will definitely be back. And tell others. Already planning another trip.

We have been to NCV numerous times. This time we chose D29. We were so pleased we did! The grass, sand, and ocean are just steps from each other. It was amazing to step off of the patio and have grass under our feet and then take 10 steps to the ocean wall. We slept with the window cracked every night so the music of ocean could lull us to sleep. The room is equiped very well. Not only did the room have a Pack-n-Play, but it had a high chair and a stroller for our 14 month old grand daughter. My husband was so pleased to have a hummingbird feeder to fill and watch daily while having coffee in the morning and watching the sunset in the evenings. The second bedroom didn't have a ceiling fan but there is a Vornado fan in the condo that was very efficient. The guest book was fun to read. A few of the entries were similar in nature about the room being a rental that needs a little love but everything works. We needed a front porch light and it took the maintenance man about 3 minutes to get there and fix it. Everybody at On-the-Sand is so incredibly kind and helpful. We will continue to vacation with them for decades to come! Thank you, Misty, cor all your suggestions and amazing customer service. We had a blast!

We have stayed at North Coast Village many times, but this is our first time staying oceanfront. We absolutely loved our stay in D29. The condo was stocked with everything we needed to cook, relax, play in the waves, etc. On The Sand was easy to reach and fast to respond with minor problems that we encountered. My family have stayed at North Coast Village many times. It was our first time to stay right on the water at NCV - Condo 29D is right on the water. It is a great location for children with a grassy area for play overlooking the ocean and in front of the condo on the putting green. Easy walk to downtown, to the pier and harbor. Many restaurant choices nearby. The condo was stocked as described in the rental agreement – plenty of beach toys, towels, boogie boards and beach chairs. A few minor maintenance issues were handled quickly. Overall experience was very good. We would stay there again.

Our third year selecting D29 as our vacation on the shore must say something for the comfort and relaxation this rental provides. The unit is well provisioned, comfortable and casual, and the owners are responsive to requests we have made. I highly recommend this particular beachfront bungalow for it's location, comfort and casual feel!

the place was lovely. we loved being able to open sliders & there was the ocean. Mark, rental agent, stopped by to drop off new patio furniture. very nice & hospitable. the condo had everything that we wanted, and more. I would rent again. only one critique....I cannot walk up steps if more than a few. we stopped by HOA office to see if someone could walk down & meet me at bottom of stairs to return keys....person on duty, said she would not, but maybe people on duty next day would. I called Mark, and he took care of for me. there were workmen working on lawn. They were very quiet, and did not disturb us at all.

The location was fantastic. The condo was great and very well stocked. The owners were wonderful and easy to rent from. They even covered a citation of sorts that I received. I would definitely rent from them again and I would highly recommend this place to all that are reading this!!!!
