E112 - Beach Escape

Great host that was very communicative and clear. Check in was easy and as described. Unit came with two parking spots which was a nice touch (we only needed one).
View was amazing and you could hear the waves crashing all night.
End unit that is right next to a stairwell that takes you to the mini golf and pool area. Its about 100yards to the beach access.
Pier is a 0.6mi (10-12min) walk.
The upstairs ceiling is very thin and you could hear the upstairs people talking and walking. They were up watching tv until 1am each night which was the only con to be aware of.
That said with the bedroom window cracked open and the sound of the waves, it was definitely somewhere id stay again.

We also appreciate you pointing out the noise from the upstairs unit. The building is an older coastal property, and as a result, sound can sometimes travel more easily between floors—especially during quiet nighttime hours. That said, the HOA has recently put rules in place requiring owners to install carpeting in most areas of their condos to help reduce noise, so this should gradually improve as more units comply.
In the meantime, we always recommend keeping a window cracked for the ocean sounds or using a sound machine, which really seems to help create a peaceful sleeping environment—just as you experienced.

We absolutely loved staying at “On The Sand’s” property - North Coast Village. Everything was extremely clean, the pool and hot tub were the perfect temperatures, and all of the staff and security guards were very friendly! Can’t wait to come back again and enjoy the new hot tub that they were in the process of finishing while we were there. Not one complaint at all. I was comfortable and do wish I could have stayed longer. The view is terrific and you can hear the ocean and it’s a short walk to the beach. The condo is very well appointed. The only reasons I didn’t give it five stars: water temp is the shower goes from hot to icy cold frequently; literally the WORST hair dryer in the world; not very sound proofed-you can hear the upstairs neighbors. That said, I would rent this place again. It’s priced right and you can’t beat the location. We had a lot of fun.

This 2 bedroom apartment was set up nicely. We felt right at home.
But, there is something worth considering if you have stability issues ... that the floor in the living room and kitchen dining area has a fairly noticeable "slope" to it. It's enough that you worry that a cup may slide off the table. Like, if you set a ball at the edge of the kitchen, it would roll to the edge of the dining room wall. It's very noticeable.
I'm not sure if the foundation on the building has sunk, or if it's some other construction mishap. That said, it truly shouldn't be a negative for most people. For us, it only added to our experience as it was memorable in a good way. But, if you have stability issues, it may be something to consider.
Other than the slope in the living room and dining room, this is a great place. 5 stars. We would book again!

lleve a mis padres a celebrar 59 años de casados , ellos estuvieron muy felices mi padre le facino mucho el salón de billar ,los caminos llenos de plantas hermosas y mi madre la Alverca con agua templada y todo lo verde de plantas ,el Apt tiene todo lo que uno nesesita, la vista extraordinaria hacia el mar , recibí mensajes diario si ocupabamos algo o si todo estaba bien eso fue muy lindo .

Overall the condo was terrific. It was well maintained, clean and we did not need to ask for anything else other than what was provided. Living room had a balcony view of the water. One bedroom was missing a screen so my wife did not open the window. She got hot at night. We should have called maintenance, but, did not think to do so at the time. My son said the fold out couch was very comfortable. The parking is very tight. We had an extended SUV and getting into and out of the parking stall was a challenge. But it was garage parking right next to the elevator/stairs that was close to our unit so I was not going to complain. Be prepared to climb stairs or use the elevator a lot. Nothing is set on the ground level. My young kids enjoyed the beach toys and the adults appreciated the chairs and umbrella that were available. Overall, if we were to go to Oceanside again, we would rebook this facility.

Beautiful condo just steps away from the beach. It's equipped with boogie boards, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, and sand toys for the little ones. Condo was a good choice, being a big complex. Lots of stuff to do for families. Beautiful grounds and amenities. Walkable to so much stuff. Was nice that boogie boards, extra towels and chairs were provided. We had a great time for our visit. We would recommend it.

For the price point, I would have liked to have coffee supplied. The hot and cold water faucets in the master shower are a little difficult to maintain an in between temperature, but doable. Also maybe a portable fan in the bedrooms and an outdoor table to set drinks on, since the railing doesn’t allow it.
We had a great time for our visit. We would recommend.

We are sorry to hear about the noise. As for the airconditioning, for the most part Oceanside is known for its temperate climate
that stays in the "Goldilocks Zone" all year round, meaning not too
hot, not too cold. With that said, the majority of North Coast Village does not have AC. We hope you were able to find the fans we keep in the unit as well as turn on the overhead fans.

We had a great time and this property was exactly as advertised. Clean, well appointed, great location. Only complaint about the unit was the master shower goes from icy cold to scalding hot without notice - hard to take a comfortable shower. And the neighbors next to us and above us were very loud - hard to get good sleep. That's not on the owners obviously, it could be perfectly quiet other weeks. I would stay there again regardless.

Hi Eric, we apologize for the hot water issue. As I'm sure we explained to you during your stay, there was a problem with the broiler, something completely out of our hands but still understandably frustrating. It has since been fixed. For future reference, any abnormal disturbances by neighbors after 10pm can be reported to patrol. We are happy you had a great time despite a few minor issues and hope we have the opportunity to host your next trip to Oceanside!

Overall it was a great place to stay. There was just a couple of things. There was no frying pan, which the property owners promptly took care of for me. There was no door handle on the refrigerator, which was ok we managed, but the owners should take care of. The window shades were hanging slats and if you tried to open or close them several would fall off. There was three slats in the closet which I put back up. Luckily there was a step ladder so that I could put them back up when they fell. The track that held them might be able to be lubricated to make the open/close easier.

Family of 4 down from Los Angeles for Spring Break. Loved, loved the condo! We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and the beach - the complex is so beautiful and well maintained. We used the condo as a home base with trips to Legoland, San Diego Zoo and La Jolla to complement our beach days and exploring Oceanside. We walked to the harbor each day for coffee, ice cream or dinner - lots of nice choices that didn’t require getting in the car. My favorite thing about the condo was the constant sound of the ocean waves. It was chilly in the mornings so the fireplace (just turn a knob) was such a nice way to warm up after early morning walks. Plenty of room for all 4 of us. I hope to be back someday! I highly recommend this unit.

We absolutely loved it here! Can’t beat being right on the beach and having a pool and hot tub. We also loved the beach views from our balcony. Our other favorite thing was just walking around the insanely beautiful grounds. The only hard thing was parking, but that’s only because our van is taller then the 6’6” Parking Garage. But they were very nice to help us figure out another place to park it was just far away. Communication was great and we had so much fun.

Very nice Condo!! It was exactly as advertised. Before going I had read some reviews about the refrigerator, those issues were fixed as the fridge was functioning like new!! We enjoyed our stay so much, we actually extended it by a day!! Looking forward to going back!!

This condo is perfectly located! Great ocean views, right by the stair well with only one flight down for instant beach, pool and grounds access. It is well stocked and had tons of beach toys, an umbrella, beach chairs and boogie boards (my husband is oddly picky with boogie boards and these passed his standards). Parking is also easily accesible via elevator or stairs. We have rented through On-The-Sand a couple of times and they are always easy to work with. This is our favorite condo so far due to it's convenient location for beach access! We loved being right on the beach and the grandkids had fun feeding the fish, swimming and wandering throughout the beautiful complex!

This property is part of a really cute condo complex. Great pool, spa and access to the beach. The View is AMAZING and it was a much needed getaway. The only complaint we had was the shower in the master. The shower head was too low and we are both tall. We showered in the kids room all week which was an inconvenience but overall we had a great time

Looking for a safe way to visit, we came across this property, and it was everything we wanted! Not being on the ground floor, we slept with the windows open to enjoy the ocean sounds and the breeze. It is just a few minutes walk to the beach, which is small and not crowded, a perfect place to hang out. The amenities it came with were perfect and we felt very at home. Highly recommend.

This property is very convenient to the beach. It was so nice to have such convenient parking as well. We walked for ice cream and dinner over the bridge. The property had lots of fun things to do as well. We got a kick out of the koi and enjoyed feeding those fatties. The unit itself is very clean. The decor and furnishing felt out of date (not the couch), but its a beach place. Everything you need is there and everything was in working order. We felt this community to be very safe as well. You have views of the ocean and beach.

Easy walk to the beach, plenty of room for family and great restaurants with in walking distance. All and all it was a great trip. We would definitely go back. The grounds were beautiful and we had a great time. the beach was super close, it was great having 2 underground parking areas and there were great restaurants in walking distance of condo. great views from every window and a nice cross breeze. Kitchen had everything you would need. It was really nice walking in to some ice cold water and cute little snacks. looking forward to going back next year.

Amazing! So amazing that I extended my stay. There are so many things to do and places to eat that were walking distance. Easy access to the beach. When I arrived the windows and blinds were open and the fan was on so it felt amazing walking in to a nice ocean breeze. I didn’t want to leave. I can’t wait to come back.
